Abstract:

To provide an emergency stop device which stops a moving body, etc., in an emergency as necessary regardless of the position of the moving body or a refugee.

Guide wheels 20 arranged in a base frame 80 are rolled on a guide rope 10 and the base frame 80 is made to be freely movable along the guide rope 10. A sliding guide 30 enlarged upward in width and provided with a slope 36 at the side of the guide rope 10 is arranged on the inner surface of a baseboard 81 which constitutes the base frame 80. A slider 40 is also arranged with the projected stopper pin 60 which penetrates the sliding guide. An emergency rope 55 is pulled to release the engagement of a trigger 50 with the stop pin 60 in the case of emergency. The slider 40 is moved upward by the pulling force of a sliding spring 70, guided to the side of the guide rope by the inclining groove 33 of the sliding guide 30 and brought into pressure contact with the guide rope 10 so that the moving body is stopped by friction resistance.
