Abstract:

To provide an emitter electrode including an emitter comprising nanocarbon, a method for manufacturing the emitter electrode, and a lighting system.

A mixture of nanocarbon and a binder is applied on substantially entire surface of a conductive layer 12 including dots 101a formed in a predetermined pattern, to unevenly form a carbon layer 102a along the pattern of the dots 101a. A substrate 11 is heated and burned to remove the binder, to cause cracks 103 in a carbon layer 102 near an edge 104 of each dot 101a, and to raise nanocarbon from the periphery of the cracks 103. Thereby, nanocarbon can be raised without requiring peeling treatment or the like.
