Abstract:

To provide an emitter material for thermophotoelectromotive force power generation having excellent mechanical strength over room temperatures to high temperatures, excellent in heat resistance at an operation temperature of a TPV power generator, oxidation resistance and thermal shock resistance, and showing high selective emissivity suitable for a GaSb photoelectric conversion cell.

The emitter material for thermophotoelectromotive force power generation emits intense radiation by heat at a selective wavelength. It comprises a coagulated body composed of Al2O3and a compound oxide of M (wherein M denotes at least one of Yb and Tm), Er and Al represented by the formula: (MxEr1-x)3Al5O12, wherein x is 0.05-0.5.
