Abstract:
To provide an emulsifier mixture which makes it possible to produce high viscosity O/W emulsions and enables the production of more stable and more sensorily light cosmetics or medicinal preparations in smaller wax amounts than those of known products.
This emulsifier mixture for producing cosmetics and/or medicinal preparations comprises (a) 43 to 99 wt.% of an alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside represented by formula (I): R1O-[G]p (I) [R1 is a 16 to 54C alkyl and/or alkenyl; G is a 5 or 6C sugar unit; (p) is the number of 1 to 10], and (b) 57 to 1 wt.% of a fatty alcohol represented by formula (II): R2OH (R2 is a straight chain or branched 16 to 54C aliphatic hydrocarbon group having zero to three double bonds).
