To obtain the subject composition which is useful for improving undesirable skin conditions such as dry skin and an atopic dermatitis by including a specific copolymer, ingredient(s) such as galactosylceramide, and ingredient(s) such as an amino acid, etc.
This composition is obtained by including (A) a copolymer of acrylic acid and an alkyl methacrylate, preferably at 0.15 wt.%, (B) at least one ceramide selected from galactosylceramide and glucosylceramide, preferably at 0.050.5 wt.%, (C) an oily component such as squalane, and (D) at least one ingredient selected from (i) amino acids such as trimethylglycine, preferably at 0.01-10 wt.%, (ii) α-hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid, preferably at 0.01-5 wt.% and (iii) trehalose, preferably at 0.01-10 wt.%. This composition is useful as a cosmetic or the like.
