This emulsion composition contains one or more kinds selected from a citric acid ester of glycerol stearate and a skin humectant component. A ceramide, a ceramide derivative, sphingosine, phytosterol, a phytosterol glycoside, a methacryloyloxyethoxyphosphorylcholine polymer, a copolymer of methacryloyloxyethoxyphosphorylcholine and a vinylic monomer or the like is preferably exemplified as the skin humectant component.
