To provide a cosmetic material or a dermatologic preparation containing active ingredients for maintaining and protecting the skin, above all, sensitive skin, especially an aged or aging skin caused by endogenous and/or exogenous factors or aged skin and a method for using the active ingredients and combinations of them in cosmetics and the field of dermatologic repairing of the skin.

This cosmetic or dermatologic preparation of an O/W emulsion type contains one or more species of bioquinone and at least 5 wt.% of glycerol based on the whole composition. A method for using the cosmetic or the dermatologic preparation of O/W type emulsion containing one or more species of bioquinone and at least 5 wt.% of glycerol based on the whole composition for tightening and/or giving tension to the skin is provided.
