Abstract:

To obtain an emulsion composition containing a hollow sphere component which is used in caring for fatty skin and/or aged skin and has matting and soft-focus effects.

This composition has a form of an emulsion which contains the hollow sphere component comprising an organosilicon-based substance in a physiologically acceptable medium, wherein spherical particles in the component have an average diameter of 0.05-10 μm. A cosmetic method comprises topically applying the composition to the skin, so that the method is useful for veiling defects on surfaces of the skin, especially decreasing glossiness of the skin and/or veiling pores, shadows under the eyes, freckles, wrinkles and/or fine lines. Hemispherical particles are especially used in the hollow sphere component.
