Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion fuel supply system capable of making emulsion fuel, the water proportion of which can be adjusted to attain the compatibility of engine power performance and exhaust purifying performance with a fuel pump having a small maximum delivery capacity. SOLUTION: Light oil, water and emulsifier respectively supplied from a light oil tank 4, a water tank 5 and an emulsifier cartridge 6 are subjected to water proportion by flow variable control valves 11 to 13 and supplied as emulsion fuel to a combustion chamber 41. In this case, fuel oil is switched to a fuel oil supply passage 49 provided with the flow variable control valve 11 and a fuel pump 7 or to a fuel oil bypass passage 53 bypassing the passage 49, capable of sucking fuel oil by an injection pump 23 and opened and closed by an on-off valve 54 according to the operating condition of an engine. Return emulsion fuel is supplied from a return fuel supply passage 48 according to the operating condition of the engine.
