PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively produce the enamel panel for buildings having excellent flatness by administrating the film thickness of the enamel layer on the rear surface side of the enamel panel for buildings.

CONSTITUTION: An enamel steel sheet which is formed by bending, is successively provided with folded piece parts 3 at the four circumferences of a main plate part 2 and is formed to a shallow box shape is used as a metallic panel 1. A black ground coat is applied on both the front and rear surfaces after a surface treatment and glaze for iron enamel essentially composed of Ti frit is applied as over-glaze thereon and is fired to form the front surface side enamel layer 4 and rear surface side enamel layer 5 having the appearance of white stippled finish, by which the enamel panel 6 is formed. The film thickness ta of the front side enamel layer 4 and the film thickness tb of the rear side enamel layer 5 are respectively specified to 100 to 800μm and the film thickness ratio of tb/ta is specified to 0.6 to 1.2. The firing strains of the enamel panel are decreased by administrating the film thickness of the rear side enamel layer of the metallic panel 1 in the above-mentioned manner. The enamel panel for buildings having the excellent flatness is thus inexpensively produced.
