PURPOSE: To accelerate intrusion of paint into the interior by making a plurality of notches, extending to the outside of the outer peripheral surface of a paint cover, at the annular gap part of a planar plate and serving the notches as paint flow-in paths and air vent paths.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of notches 9, extending to the outside of a paint cover 8, are made at an annular gap part 7 of a planar plate 3 and the notches serve as paint intrusion ports and air vents. When an enclosed compressor constituted in such manner is immersed in paint, the paint flows into an annular gap 7 formed between the planar plate 3 and the outer peripheral surface of a terminal section 4 and spreads on the entire surface and excess paint is discharged through the notch 9 along a discharge path. Since the notches serve as paint flow-in paths and air vents to accelerate intrusion of paint into the interior, painting at the annular gap part is effected more reliably and trouble such as rusting or boring can be prevented.
