Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the worsening of sealing performance caused by ageing a gasket in an enclosed device, by bringing the gasket through a movable seal member, which moves along one fixed seal member, in close contact with the other fixed seal member by means of a spring. CONSTITUTION:Tightening force of a tightening bolt 6 and a part of the weight of a cover 1 force a gasket 10 and a sheet packing 9 to be attached to the upper end of a seal bar 11, thereby the upper end part is sealed. On the other hand, the clearance between a guide member 2 and a retainer 8 is also sealed by the sheet packing 9. The gasket 10 is deformed due to its ageing, and if its forcibly attached pressure to the seal bar 11 is decreased, the amount of this decrease causes the tension of a spring 3 to extrude the gasket 10, thus a seal effect is maintained.
