PURPOSE: To improve high-temperature over-discharge leaving characteristics, by mounting a layer of a liquid which electric insulation, which does not dissolve to an electrolyte and which specific gravity is small, onto the electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: A layer 6 of a liquid with electric insulation, which does not dissolve to an electrolyte 5 and which specific gravity is msall, - a layer of liquid paraffin is preferable - is installed onto the electrolyte 5 of this enclosed lead accumlator that its battery jar 1 desirably consists of ABS resin and the electrolyte 5 is preferably composed of sulfate colloid. Such constitution inhibits the evaporation of moisture in the electrolyte at high temperature, and can prevent the deterioration of the performance of this lead accumulator.
