To reduce the number of part items, and improve workability by arranging a projecting part in a cylinder head, and fixing a suction muffler, in which a hole of a steel strip having a spring part to bring a communicating tube into pressure contact with the cylinder head is inserted/pressed, to this projecting part.
In an enclosed motor-driven compressor to drive a compression element elastically supported in an enclosed vessel by a motor-driven element, a projecting part 5a is integrally formed in a cylinder head 5 of the compression element formed by aluminum die-casting. When a suction muffler 4 is installed, a hole 6a of a steel strip 6 pressed on and fixed to the projecting part 5a of the cylinder head 5 by using the steel strip 6 having a spring part. In this case, the hole 6a provided in the steel strip 6 is inserted around the projecting part 5a by light inserting force by plural cut grooves 6b, and is elastically deformed, and is fixed to the projecting part 5a by its restoring force. Therefore, the suction muffler 4 can be reliably fixed to the cylinder head 5.
