PURPOSE: To permit an enclosed rotary compressor to reach a stable running condition rapidly after starting and maintain a high oil separating function after reaching the stable running condition by affording communication between a space near a discharge port and a space at the discharge side through a bypass path and providing a switch device opened and closed according to refrigerant temperature of the space near the discharge port in a bypass path.
CONSTITUTION: A discharged refrigerant temperature in starting is lower than a predetermined value to open a switch device 24. The refrigerant discharged from a cylinder 10 of a rotary compressor element 3 is discharged smoothly to the outside of an enclosed container 2 through an opened bypass path 23, so that an enclosed rotary compressor can be stably run rapidly with the discharged refrigerant temperature reaching the predetermined temperature. Also, since the switch device 24 is closed according to the discharged refrigerant temperature higher than the predetermined value after reaching the stable running, the refrigerant discharged from a muffler 18 of the rotary compressor element 3 separates efficiently oil in the refrigerant in narrow gap paths 5, 6, 8 in a motor element 1 and feeds back the oil under the enclosed container 2.
