PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembly of a compressor and improve assembling accuracy by independently assembling a compression mechanism portion and a driving mechanism portion and, then, fitting in each fit-in portion of these mechanisms to the other to assemble the whole compressor.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed scroll member 2 is provided in a first cup-shaped portion 1. A movable scroll member 8 is provided on a first intermediate board body 6 is joined to the first cup-shaped portion1 to form a compression mechanism and a first housing 10. A second intermediate board body 11 which rotatably supports a main shaft 13 is linked to a supporting board body 12 to form a driving mechanism. On the other hand, the driving mechanism and the second intermediate body 11 are press fitted into a second cup-shaped portion 16 to form a second housing 17. After that, the recessed portion 6c and the projecting portion 11c of each intermediate board body 6, 11 are fitted to each other to join the housings 10, 17 together, while the main shaft 13 is made eccentric and linked to the movable scroll member 8.
