To deliver and store a lot of sealed letters on a belt conveyor.
The belt conveyor 131 is intermittently moved by each constant pitch each time a sealed letter M is delivered. The sealed letter M reaching an endfence 141 is scooped and set up by a slope 141a of the endfence 141, thereby further transfer toward downstream is regulated. The belt conveyor 131 is continuously moved after the last sealed letter M is delivered, and the last sealed letter M is scooped and set up by the endfence 141. Each scooped sealed letter M is aligned along the slope 141a in a transfer direction X. When the sealed letter M is thick and highly rigid, a continuous moving speed of the belt conveyor 131 is raised. Regarding a width direction Y perpendicular to the transfer direction X, the sealed letter M is aligned by an intermittent approaching separating operation of a pair of side fences 143 and 143. In the case of a sealed letter M light in weight and prone to shift in a delivery position, an approaching separating period of the side fences 143 is made shorter than for a sealed letter M heavy in weight, thereby efficiently aligning the letter.
