To provide an enclosing and sealing system capable of performing the enclosing and sealing of a plurality of copies while the content and finish of an enclosure to be enclosed in an envelope are confirmed in response to user's selection.
The enclosing and sealing system comprises a first operation mode conducting both enclosure and sealing, and a second operation mode conducting enclosure but no sealing. When there is an execution instruction of the enclosing and sealing in a plurality of output copies while the first operation mode and a sealing confirmation mode for confirming the enclosed state of enclosures in the envelope are selected, the enclosing and sealing of at least initial part of the plurality of output copies is executed with the second mode. The operation of the enclosing and sealing is once stopped, and then the above treatment of at least remaining copies excluding the initial part of the plurality of output copies is executed with the first operation mode.
