To facilitate the molding of a circular opening part of a console panel, and effectively exclude the effects of electrostatics from the console panel etc. in an encoder apparatus.

The encoder apparatus is provided with both a rotary encoder 3, provided on a substrate 2 arranged inside the console panel 1 and a knob 6 fixed to an input shaft 4 of the rotary encoder and is protruded from the circular opening part 5 of the console panel. The circular opening part constitutes a ring-like wall part 7 of such a shape, that a part of the console panel in the periphery of the opening is bent in the inward direction. A hem part 8 of the knob faces the ring-like wall part at a prescribed interval, and an end part of the hem part is provided with a flange part 9, extending along the upper face and external wall surface of the ring-like wall part, in such a way as to surround the ring-like wall part.
