Abstract:
To provide an encoder disk of a structure that does not cause mechanical strength to decrease and an encoding pattern therefor.SOLUTION: In a configuration comprising a disk 4 and a circuit unit having a detection circuit for detecting the rotation angle of the disk 4, the encoder has provided on the disk 4 an encoding pattern by light-transmitting holes 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, etc., for outputting each of UVW signals that indicates the pole positions of a rotary machine that are the objects to be detected, the encoding pattern being composed of a pattern different from the desired patterns of UVW signals, the circuit unit being provided with conversion means for converting the primary code based on the encoding pattern into UVW signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
