To prevent duplication of delivered digital data in delivery or the like of charging processing-needed or charging processing-desirable digital data such that it has a copyright through a network in an image forming device, an enciphered data processing method and an enciphered data processing system.

In the enciphered data processing method in a system including a server and an image forming device connected with a terminal through a network, the server performs, upon receipt of a request of data from the terminal, enciphering processing to the data such that it cannot be deciphered in the terminal but can be deciphered in the image forming device, and transmits enciphered data to the terminal. The terminal transmits the enciphered data received from the server to the image forming device, and the image forming device deciphers the enciphered data received from the terminal. According to this, the data is transferred in the enciphered state on the network and within the terminal.
