PURPOSE: To enable a belt plate to pass through a narrow part easily and further while holding a contactless condition by providing an opening-closing mechanism, which automatically opens and closes a press-holding part of a gripper member through running by an endless running mechanism, in the end part of a crankshaft.
CONSTITUTION: A crankshaft 26, which runs in a narrow processing equipment for a belt plate to pass through, is supported to an endless running mechanism of chain and belt or the like, and an intermediate part of a pair of gripper members 28 is supported to a journal part 26a of this crankshaft 26 to make the gripper member possible to open and close with an operating part of the gripper member 28 connected to a connecting rod 30, connected to a clamp pin part 26b, through links 31, 32. In this way, a supporting part of the scissors-shaped gripper member 28 and the connecting rod part 30 to perform open-close driving are placed in a coaxial condition with height decreased when the gripper member is closed. The gripper member is automatically opened and closed in accordance with its running by an opening-closing mechanism of a cam and a rail 40 or the like provided in an end part of the crankshaft. Consequently, the belt plate can be made to pass through a narrow part easily further while holding a contactless condition.
