Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end surface finishing machine reduced in man-hours for finishing both axial directional ends of a hollow workpiece and improved in the machining accuracy.
SOLUTION: In this finishing machine for finishing end surfaces of the workpiece W having a hollow cavity by rotating it around the center axis of the hollow cavity, a spindle 12 is provided freely to move forward and backward along the axial direction, and the spindle 12 is inserted into the hollow cavity of the workpiece W so that the center axis thereof coincides with the center axis of the hollow cavity of the workpiece W. A cutting means 40 is provided with a pair of cutting members 43 and 43 arranged in parallel with each other along the axial direction of the spindle 12, and one end surface of the workpiece W in the axial direction of the hollow cavity is pushed for abutting on a positioning means 30 for positioning, and after moving the spindle 12 forward, the cutting means 40 is moved close to the workpiece W.
