Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an endless belt capable of conducting easy and sure detection of a position without impairing the durability of a belt and without using a belt base material in an endless belt used for photosensitive supporting bodies for an electrophotographic copying machine, a laser printer, etc., and an intermediate transfer device, a transfer separating device, a carriage, a charger, a developing device, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A window hole for detecting positions is provided in the full circumference of the edge section of the outer surface 1a of an endless belt 1 or a tape 7 printed with a position detecting mark 8 is adhered the above edge section. A difference in reflectivity between the window hole section and the tape section or between the position detecting mark section and the tape section is detected by a photoelectric sensor.
