Abstract:
To safely take out an insertion portion of an endoscope from a body cavity even when an excitation light source breaks down in an endoscope apparatus equipped with the excitation light source and a fluorescent material which produces fluorescence by excitation light emitted from the excitation light source at a distal end.
An introducing conduit 14 which introduces a backup light source 60 to the position of a fluorescent material part 22 is provided to irradiate the fluorescent material part 22 with the light emitted from the backup light source 60 introduced by using the introducing conduit 14 via an irradiation window 61.
