In an endoscope holding apparatus wherein a protective frame 12 for the end of an inserting part for preventing the end part 2a of the flexible inserting part 2 hung down from an operating part 1 from being swung is disposed below an operating part holding means 11 in such a way that it surrounds the vicinity of the end part 2a of the inserting part 2, the protective frame 12 for the end of the inserting part is formed by a slender cylindrical body in which a slit 13 with a width through which the inserting part 2 of the endoscope passes is formed in the parallel direction to the axial line and so as to be opened at least upward and is stood vertically.
