To provide an endoscope capable of preventing movement of a position regulating member by inserting the position regulating member having a curved shape into an insertion tube especially without fixing an end of the position regulating member to a distal end hard section.

The endoscope comprises: the insertion tube comprising the distal end hard section, a bending section, and a flexible section to be inserted into a body cavity; a contained object in the insertion tube stored at least within the bending section; and the position regulating member disposed within the bending section for regulating the movement of the contained object at least in the radial direction. The position regulating member has a folding section formed in a part of the member. The folding section of the position regulating member is locked to the contained object without connecting the position regulating member to the distal end hard section, and the position regulating member and the contained object are disposed within the bending section.
