Abstract:

To provide an endoscopic apparatus which improves operation accuracy while improving workability.

Location information based on the operation of a curvature lever 13 of a joystick 12 is supplied to a control circuit 7. The control circuit 7 controls a motor-driven circuit 8 based on the location information. Thus, the motor-driven circuit 8 curves and drives a distal end 5. The control circuit 7 detects a neutral position and sets a dead zone within a definite range of the neutral position every time the curvature lever 13 returns to the neutral position automatically. Hence, the dead zone can be set within a relatively-narrow range, regardless of the variation of the neutral position. Therefore, the distal end 5 can be curved and driven even when the curvature lever 13 is sloped slightly.
