To provide an endoscopic imaging unit for raising performance in the unit by easily fetching the voice of a patient or an operator and easily corresponding to various voice signal processing functions.
The endoscopic imaging unit 1 includes an electronic endoscope 2 and a video processor 3. The endoscope 2 comprises a first microphone arranged at the tip end of an insertion part 9, so as to fetch mainly the voice of the patient; and a second microphone 20 arranged in an operation part 8, so as to fetch mainly the voice of the operator. The first and second microphones 19, 20 are connected to a changeover circuit 24. The CPU 26 of a main board 32 communicates with the CPU 47 of a function development board 27 and acquires information of a board ID generating part 48. Based on the information, the function development board 27 determines whether a voice input is required or not . One of the microphones 19, 20 is selected when the voice input is required. A microphone selecting part 25 is controlled to changeover the changeover circuit 24 and to fetch a voice signal into the function development board 27.
