PURPOSE: To provide an energizing device for top toy having a hoisting means with a small number of part items and a simple structure.

CONSTITUTION: A holding part 2 for attachably and detachably holding a top toy is formed on a body, and the holding part 2 has an operation member 8 having a hook part 82. This device has a rotating body 6 having an engaging part 61 for attachably and detachably engaging a top toy body. A driving means having a spiral spring 4 is provided continuously to the rotating body 6, and the driving means has a hoisting means 7 having a reverse rotation preventing means and a hoisting wheel 76. The hoisting means has a clutch means for transmitting the rotation only in one direction. The clutch means is formed of a recessed part having an engaging projection in the center part of a gear 71 and a coil spring one end of which is engaged with the shaft member of the hoisting wheel 76, and the other end of the coil spring is formed in such a manner as to be protruded outward and engaged with the engaging projection of the recessed part.
