Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy conversion device that allows improving energy conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: An energy conversion device 1 includes a power-generating device 101, a rectifier smoothing circuit 102, a DC-DC converter 103, and a monitoring circuit 104 providing instructions for starting and stopping the DC-DC converter 103 while monitoring a voltage between output terminals of the rectifier smoothing circuit 102 as an input voltage. The DC-DC converter 103 includes a control terminal CN and starts up when a control voltage between the control terminal CN and a ground line 103b of the DC-DC converter 103 exceeds a predetermined start-up voltage. The monitoring circuit 104 has hysteresis characteristics in which a first voltage that is an input voltage when the DC-DC converter 103 is started and a second voltage that is an input voltage when the DC-DC converter is stopped are different from each other, and the difference between the first voltage and the second voltage is set by a hysteresis circuit 141 constituted from resistors R1 to R6 and semiconductor switching elements M1 to M3.
