Title:
ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2021008655
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To improve the synthesis rate of a carbohydrate in an energy conversion system where the electrolytic reaction of CO2 and H2O and the synthetic reaction of the carbohydrate are carried out at the same site.SOLUTION: An energy conversion system comprises a fuel synthesis device 10, H2O supply units 20 and 22, CO2 supply units 23 and 25, and a supply control unit 29. The fuel synthesis device comprises an electrolyte 11 and a pair of electrodes 12 and 13 arranged on both sides of the electrolyte. The H2O supply unit supplies H2O to the fuel synthesis device. The CO2 supply unit supplies CO2 to the fuel synthesis device. The supply control unit controls the supply of the H2O and the supply of the CO2. The fuel synthesis device electrolyzes the H2O and the CO2 using an external electric power, and then synthesizes a carbohydrate using H2 and CO that are generated by the electrolysis. The supply control unit makes the H2O supply unit begin to supply the H2O to the fuel synthesis device after making the CO2 supply unit begin to supply the CO2 to the fuel synthesis device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
