PURPOSE: To exactly set a sample to the position of X-ray irradiation by providing a moving mechanism for moving a sample base in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction, and also, providing a mechanism for turning a sample base holding mechanism centering around a horizontal shaft.

CONSTITUTION: First of all, at the time of moving a sample base 4 in the horizontal direction, a motor 29 which has been attached to a bracket 18 is rotated forward or backward. That is to say, when the motor 29 is rotated forward or backward, its rotation is transferred to a screw 19 through a coupling 31, and as a result, the sample base 4 which has been screwed to this screw 19 is guided by guides 20 which have been provided in parallel in both its sides and moves in the horizontal direction, as this screw 19 rotates. Also, at the time of moving a sample base 4 in the vertical direction, when a motor 28 which has been attached to a bracket 21 is rotated, its rotation is transferred to a screw 22 through a coupling 32, and as a result, the bracket 18 which has been screwed to the screw 22 is guided by guides 23 and moves in the vertical direction. Accordingly, by rotating suitably said motor, a sample on the sample base 4 can be set exactly to an X-ray irradiated position.
