Abstract:
To provide a system that enables energy storage and stable and efficient power generation.SOLUTION: An energy storage/power generation system includes a water splitting device that breaks down water into hydrogen and oxygen, a metanation device that produces methane gas by reacting hydrogen and carbon dioxide, methane gas supply means that supplies the methane gas synthesized by the metanation device to gas storage/supply means, a fuel cell system that operates using city gas supplied from the gas storage/supply means, hydrogen supply means that supplies the hydrogen generated by the water splitting device to the metanation device, carbon dioxide supply means that supplies the carbon dioxide generated when the fuel cell system operates using the city gas to the metanation device, and a control device that controls the amount of carbon dioxide required for the amount of methane synthesized by the metanation device on the basis of the amount of hydrogen supplied to the metanation device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
