The snow thawing system using this energy generator comprises: a hydrogen generating means 2, in which hydrogen is generated by the decomposition of organic materials by micro-organisms; a control means 14, in which the amount of hydrogen generation in the hydrogen generating means 2 is controlled; an energy converting means 13, in which hydrogen generated in the hydrogen generating means 2 is converted into the electrical energy; and an electricity-heat converting means 16, in which the electrical energy is converted to the heat energy. It is also another alternative to convert hydrogen into heat energy directly, other than converting hydrogen to electrical energy then converting it further to heat energy.
