Abstract:
To adjust a desired state change of a battery pack to optimize a futuristic energy demand and/or a charged state of the battery pack about a charge space state.
An energy control unit 40 for maintaining the energy level of a hybrid vehicle at a desired magnitude is obtained. The control unit includes respective estimators 42, 44 based on the fact that the energy level of the hybrid vehicle is a function of at least: (i) the mechanical kinetic energy of the hybrid vehicle; (ii) the mechanical potential energy of the hybrid vehicle; and (iii) the potential energy of an energy storage unit.
