To provide an energy storage device system for effectively using an energy storage device by avoiding over discharge and overcharge, and to provide a method of restricting output in an energy storage device.
The energy storage device system includes a power generation means 1, an AC/DC converter 3 for converting an energy output from the power generation means 1 to DC, the energy storage device 2 that can be charged by the energy that has been output from the power generation means 1, a DC/AC converter 5 for converting the energy that has been output from the AC/DC converter 3 and the energy storage device 2 to AC, and an operation means 8 that receives information on the energy storage device 2, restricts the maximum charge power when charging the energy storage device 2, and restricts the maximum discharge power when discharging the energy storage device 2. The operation means 8 includes an SOC calculation means 8A of changing a value of an SOC (State of charge) of the energy storage device 2 for starting restricting the maximum charge power and a value of the SOC of the energy storage device 2 for starting restricting the maximum discharge power, based on information of the energy storage device.
