Title:
ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005339939
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an energy storage device capable of reducing a stress acting on a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet when compressing the stacking part of non-painted parts for fixing a current collecting terminal, by reducing a difference in thickness between stacking thickness at an active material painted part and that at the non-painted part.

Non-painted parts 12c and 14c of electrode sheets 12 and 14 constituting the end part of an electrode body 10 are folded back. So, the difference in staking thickness between the stacking thickness at the active material painted part where active material layers 12b and 14b are formed and that at non-painted parts 12c and 14c when the electrode sheets 12 and 14 are gathered toward the center in thickness direction, is smaller compared to the conventional case where the non-painted part is not folded back. Thus, the stress acting on the electrode sheets 12 and 14 outside, in thickness direction, the electrode body 10 is reduced compared to conventional case. The active material applied on collectors 12a and 14a is thus prevented from dropping.
