There is provided an energy storing unit comprising: power generation means 12; a secondary battery 14 that is electrically connected to the power generation means 12 and storing electric power generated by the power generation means 12 as chemical energy, while the secondary battery 14 can convert the chemical energy to electric power and discharge the electric power; and a chemical heat storage device 16 including an electric heater electrically connected to the power generation means 12, the electric heater converting electric power to heat energy, and also including a chemical heat storage material that can be reversibly bonded to a reaction material. The heat storage device 16 is capable of storing heat by separating the chemical heat storage material and the reaction material by the heat energy, while capable of discharging the heat energy by reacting the chemical heat storage material and the reaction material.
