To improve energy efficiency by making electric power consumption at an electric power consumption part appropriate for consumed heat quantity at a heat consumption part, in an energy system such as a heat source system and a cogeneration system.
This energy system 100 provided with an engine 1 including an ignition means 3 igniting compressed air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber by spark and rotationally driving a rotary machine, and an exhaust heat recovery mechanism 7 recovering exhaust heat held by exhaust gas discharged from the engine 1 and supplying it to the heat consumption part 2. The system is a power generation means 5 in which the rotary machine is rotationally driven by the engine 1 to generate electric power and the electric power is supplied to the electric power consumption part 22. The system is provided with an ignition timing correction means 31 correcting ignition timing of the ignition means 3 based on the condition of consumed heat quantity at the heat consumption part 21 to electric power consumption at the electric consumption part 22.
