Title:
ENGAGING MECHANISM OF SPUR GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07238995
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To get the engaging mechanism of a spur gear that makes its backlash dwindle into zero by attaching a plate spring to a bearing part of the spur gear on one side moving freely in the axial direction, and pressing it toward the spur gear on the other fixed.

CONSTITUTION: An adapter plate 4 has a long hole in a bearing fixed part 3 and a spur gear 1 secured to one end of a turning shaft 2 is structured to make a distance with another spur gear 6 alterable. A plate spring 5 pushes the bearing 3 to the right, whereby the spur gear 1 always becomes pushing a tooth surface of the spur gear 6 in consequence, so backlast comes to zero. Therefore, since control and reading of a turning angle in the case of using the spur gear suchlike are very high in accuracy because the backlash is zero. In addition, since any excess load is not added to a tooth surface of the spur gear, sufficient durability can be brought into full play. Thus, the plate spring is attached to the spur gear at one side, thereby eliminating any possible backlash, and thus adjustments can be made into disuse.
