PURPOSE: To obtain engaging pieces instead of an ordinary button by sewing a permanent magnet of circular disc shape having an engaging hole at its center on one of two materials to be mounted and made of cloth with a yarn and similarly sewing a ferromagnetic plate of circular disc shape having a ferromagnetic rod to be inserted into the engaging hole on the other of the materials faced with the one material.

CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet 1 of a circular disc shape having an engaging hole 1a at its center is sewed on one of materials 4 to be mounted and made of cloth via a yarn by employing yarn holes 1b, 1c formed at the periphery of a hole 1a. A ferromagnetic plate 3 of a circular shape projected with a feromagnetic rod 3a to be inserted into the hole 1a is similarly sewed on the other material 4 faced with the one material 4 by employing yarn holes 3b, 3c. In this manner, the rod 3a id press-fitted into the hole 1a, thereby obtaining an engaging implement of small shape instead of a button.
