Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent oil temperature rise by connecting an oil delivery path formed at the skirt section of a cylinder block to an oil path juxtaposed with a water jacket at the cylinder section having the downstream side end section communicated with main gallery. CONSTITUTION:An engine body 1 is fixed with a head cover, a first block 2 associated with a head section 5 and a cylinder section 6 and an oil pan 3. Furthermore, a second block 4 associated with a skirt section 7 is fastened with bolts 8. An oil delivery path 25 extending in the longitudinal direction of engine and going upward in the way is formed in one side section of the second block 4 and coupled through an oil filter to an oil path 26 arranged closely to a water jacket 19 of the first block 2. The oil path 26 is connected through a communication path to a main gallery 34 at the downstream end section.
