Abstract:
PURPOSE:To have a constant operating force by making uniform the difference between two moments over the whole range of opening and closing of an engine bonnet, wherein the two moments signify a upward swing moment of the engine bonnet by a fluid pressure cylinder and a downward swing moment due to the own weight of the bonnet. CONSTITUTION:To the fixed part of bonnet 7, an engine bonnet 8 is mounted in such a way as capable of swinging up and down in the extent from the downward close position to the upward open position by the use of a hinge 9. Two fluid pressure cylinders 10, 11 having elongative energizing force approx constant at all times regardless of elongation/contraction are mounted over the engine bonnet 8 and a revolving table 4 in the condition that an upward swing operating force can be given to the bonnet 8 by this elongation energizing force. The fluid pressure cylinder 10 give a larger swing moment to the bonnet 8 in fully closed condition than the other cylinder 11 does, while the latter 11 gives a greater upward swing moment to the bonnet 8 in fully open condition than the former 10 does.
