Abstract:
To provide an engine component of which a heat insulation layer has high heat insulation property and good heat drawing property.SOLUTION: The engine component includes a metal base material, and the heat insulation layer provided on the surface of the base material. The heat insulation layer is formed of a porous material including glasses and inorganic fibers and having continuous pores passing through the heat insulation layer in the thickness direction.
