The device includes ECU 15 driving purge VSV to change opening of a purge VSV 4 by a predetermined opening or more when an operation condition of an engine 10 is stable and performing abnormality judgment of the purge control system based on an operation condition of the engine 10 after the purge VSV 4 is driven and an operation condition of the engine before the purge VSV 4 is driven stored in ROM 22. Since a purge control valve is driven to change by the predetermined opening or more when the operation condition of the engine is stable, change of the operation condition of the engine by drive of the purge control valve is remarkable and purge abnormality of the purge control system can be easily judged.
