Abstract:
To provide an engine control device capable of preventing a shift mechanism or a throttle mechanism from being actuated even when an operation lever is moved unintentionally.SOLUTION: An engine control device 11 includes a control unit 20 including an operation lever 21, a controller 22, and a lock release switch 40. The lock release switch 40 is operated before the operation lever 21 is moved from a neutral position N to a shift position F on a forward side or to a shift position R on a reverse side. A shift mechanism 15 is switched to a forward side shift or to a reverse side shift according to output of a detector 26 when the operation lever 21 is moved after operating the lock release switch 40. When the lock release switch 40 is not operated, the shift mechanism 15 is not actuated although the operation lever 21 moves since no signal permitting shifting is output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
