Abstract:
To smoothly execute reacceleration of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An engine control device limits engine torque in vibration control executed when a vehicle is shifted from a deceleration state to an acceleration state throughout a backlash reduction period for reducing gear rattle sound by setting an upper limit value on an engine torque increase rate and a torsion restraining period, between completion of the backlash reduction period and the completion of the vibration control, for restraining torsion of a propeller shaft by setting the upper limit value higher than the same used in the backlash reduction period on the engine torque increase rate. Then, when an engine speed NE exceeds a sum of a transmission input rotation speed NT and a predetermined positive constant N1, the engine control device terminates the backlash reduction period and starts the torsion restraining period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
