Title:
Engine control
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6296429
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an engine capable of stably executing CI combustion by keeping a temperature in a combustion chamber even when engine load is low.SOLUTION: In a control device of an engine for switching a combustion system of a fuel between SI combustion and CI combustion according to an operating state of the engine 1, an exhaust valve 22 disposed at an exhaust side of a combustion chamber 19, and an exhaust-side variable valve mechanism 72 for controlling a lift timing of the exhaust valve 22 are provided, and in an operation region in which a combustion system of a fuel according to the operating state of the engine 1 is the CI combustion system, and a load of the engine 1 is low, a small amount of fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber (arrow A1) in the intake stroke, the exhaust valve 22 is closed by the exhaust-side variable valve mechanism 72 in the exhaust stroke, the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber 19 (arrow A2) in the intake stroke immediately thereafter, and the exhaust valve 22 is opened by the exhaust-side variable valve mechanism 72 at a prescribed timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
