Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately determine generation of vapor.SOLUTION: A control device for an engine includes: high pressure side pump control means 102 for performing feedback control of discharge amount of a high pressure fuel pump 40 on the basis of a deviation of pressure in a fuel rail 12 from a target value of the pressure; vapor determination means 106 for determining that vapor is generated when increase of the control amount of the feedback control for a predetermined period is larger than a reference increase rate; and vapor determination prohibition means 108 for prohibiting the determination of the vapor generation. The vapor determination prohibition means 108 determines whether or not an operating state of the engine is in a first specific operating state preset as an operating state where the amount of vapor generated in a fuel supply line 22 is smaller than predetermined reference amount, and prohibits the determination of the vapor generation when the operating state of the engine is in the first specific operating state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
